Home(Less) and Garden Show
I'm not sure if it was merely a coincidence - or someone's striking sense of scheduling irony - that the Minneapolis Convention Center scheduled the Twin Cities Project Homeless Connect conference the day after the end of the Minneapolis Home and Garden Show…
Lost In Space: Artwork Exploring the Third Dimension
If you're interested/free on Saturday night, we're opening a great new exhibition at the Stevens Square Center for the Arts.
The exhibition is entitled "Lost in Space" and all of the art will be 3D art (not the crazy blue/red double-lined 3D stuff, but scuplture, diarama-type stuff).
I'm looking forward to seeing all the pieces setup and […]

The USA Today has an interesting article on the impact of real estate on the jobs market (or, how a downturn in the real estate market could impact the jobs situation), Slowing home market to ripple through job market
The article primarily focuses on real estate agents, but also notes that:
"Almost four out of every 10 […]

"Firstly, it's a bit weird how, on this small island, the most valuable property seems in general to be the property furthest away from the water. If you look at Manhattan below 59th Street, there's a […]
Is the Ivy Hotel and Residence Historic Preservation?
I'm a little uncertain whether the new Ivy Hotel project in Minneapolis should be considered a successful case of historic preservation.
Click here for the Ivy Hotel and Residence website
In some regards, the project does the older building that currently is on the site (the shorter building on the right […]
